We are an international team of highly experienced talent acquisition specialists. Collectively, we have 125 years as a team recruiting for Swiss companies, and our consultants have an average industry tenure of 18 years.

Kimon Abderhalden
Senior Manager – IT Recruitment
Kimon in his role as Manager acts as the link between our customers and the technical candidates he identifies.
He brings together different areas of interest and was previously, with an international recruiter, in two different positions in the IT environment. As a Research Consultant, he was responsible for the recruitment and candidate care (Interviewing, assessments). As a development of that role he took over, as Senior Recruitment Consultant, additionally the responsibility for customer management, where he is today and can call himself a Manager.
In his spare time, Kimon Abderhalden is always looking for good restaurants and unwinds with a healthy mix of sports and a glass of red wine.
Wes has over 13 years of recruiting expertise across the Information Technology and Financial Services sectors, 10 of which have been serving the Swiss market.
For many years his focus has been on Client Development and Account Management of some of the most reputable larger companies in Switzerland as well as supporting SME’s, including start-ups, to grow their businesses.
Clients will always want to identify and attract top performers for their businesses and Wes is able to think beyond a standard search & selection approach and solve his customers problems. He continues to take advantage of his extensive network of both Business and IT professionals and stays regularly informed about industry developments and trends.
At weekends Wes likes to head to the mountains where he enjoys all types of sports and adventures. If you know him, its ‘go big or go home’!
Sarah is an accomplished professional with over a decade of experience in real estate and finance. Currently, she's pursuing a master’s degree in “Applied Neuroscience” while juggling part-time work. Her extensive background has equipped her with a deep understanding of business and people, enabling her to facilitate successful connections between companies and professionals. Beyond her work, Sarah enjoys traveling to new places and immersing herself in nature's beauty.
Bettina is a Resource Consultant and works hand in hand with Martin Honegger to find the "best matches" in the IT industry.
She is the first point of contact for many direct applications and is constantly eagle-eyed on LinkedIN and Xing to catch her latest headhunt. She accompanies candidates from application to interview and is always on hand to help and advise.
She rejoined the team in 2021 after a 3-year Nordwand baby break. The balance of being a chaotic mum and the professional but always humorous office time gives her the perfect work-life balance and, above all, the flexibility to be a good contact person for the candidates outside of off-peak hours. If you don't find her at her laptop or in the playground, she is most likely in or on her way to Ireland.
Tanja is a Resource Consultant and works mainly in the branches of IT and Finance. She works hand in hand with the Consultants to connect successful companies with interesting professionals.
Tanja is the first point of contact for the candidates and accompanies them during the recruiting process.
In her leisure time she often changes the office for the Yoga studio or nature. Tanja loves outdoor activities such as biking, hiking and riding. These activities allow her to bring new energy to her body and soul.
Pascal Hahn
Senior Manager – Finance & Accounting Recruitment
Pascal is responsible for the further development of our Finance & Accounting practice.
He began his career with a renowned Private Bank in Zurich before moving to an international Fund Management company where he spent 12 years building and developing the Swiss market.
Pascal has been in the specialised Recruitment industry since 2007 and focusses on filling vacancies for specialists and managers in the Finance & Accounting discipline.
In his spare time he is an avid record collector with an affinity for jazz.
Danny is a founding partner of the Nordwand Group AG and leads our Finance & Accounting practice. He also personally handles our Executive Search mandates across a broad range of functions and is responsible for the general management of the business.
Danny has over 20 years professional experience. He started his career in London where he held various Sales & Marketing Management roles before moving to Switzerland in 2001. Since then he has led and contributed to the profitable growth of several stock-exchange listed international recruitment and professional services firms.
Danny is a British and Swiss national and a graduate in European Business Studies from the Nottingham Trent University and has a post graduate diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He loves the mountains, both in summer and winter, and is a long-suffering West Ham United fan.
Martin is a founding partner of the Nordwand Group and leads our IT team. He personally serves a number of our key clients also for a range of Executive search mandates in both IT and Sales & Marketing functions. He is also responsible for the general management of the company.
He has worked in specialised recruitment since 2001 and has successfully built teams in Switzerland, Germany and Austria. Alongside his team management responsibilities in success based recruitment, Martin was also actively involved in the development of a range of client specific recruitment solutions. Martin is a federally certified Sales Manager and has a professional certificate in Social Media Management, a theme which is ever more important in the recruitment industry.
In his free time Martin is a passionate football fan and loves sharing his statistical knowledge with anybody brave enough to listen.
As a Research Associate, Sofia's role involves a blend of administrative support, office management, and contributing to the team's recruitment efforts. Sofia ensures that the day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently.
In her spare time she thrives on the challenge of running long distances, cycling, or working out at the gym. When Sofia is not doing sports, then she is most probably travelling or trying out new restaurants with friends or persuading someone to join her for a run.
Siro is an experienced IT Recruiting Consultant with a rich background, having worked across multiple recruiting agencies. His additional experience in internal recruiting allows him to thoroughly evaluate candidates and support them throughout the entire hiring process.
In his free time, you’ll often find Siro experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen or enjoying a game of padel, whether it’s outdoors or in an indoor court.
As a Resource Associate, Mia supports her colleagues in the office with dedication and a broad overview. She takes care of administrative processes, data maintenance and the organisation of office operations – ensuring that everything runs smoothly during her internship. At the same time, she is preparing to study business psychology with the aim of later working in human resources.
In her free time, Mia is drawn to the ski slopes every winter – whether it's relaxing with family and friends or working as a ski instructor. In summer, she swaps her skis for a bike: cycling tours in nature give her fresh energy. Fitness, karate and working towards her black belt also keep her active. And when she's not travelling around Switzerland, she enjoys trips to faraway countries.
Martin is a Senior Manager looking after IT permanent placement at both professional and executive level. Through his many years of experience, he successfully supports and advises corporate groups and SMEs in all recruitment matters.
Martin previously worked in Human Resources at Credit Suisse leading the IT Talent Acquisition unit. Prior to that, he worked for several years as Team Leader Permanent Placement at one of the largest IT recruitment companies in Europe. His broad knowledge and in-depth expertise enable him to coach candidates throughout the entire application process and actively support clients in recruiting qualified specialists and managers and leaders.
Martin has undertaken trekking tours in Tibet and Nepal but is currently more likely to be found with his family on ski slopes, hut hikes or on a via ferrata in Switzerland.
Magdalena is a Resource Consultant supporting the search process for the "best matches" for finance and technology roles. She keeps our current candidates updated of new opportunities and runs deep research projects to find and attract new professionals and introduce them to our clients.
After living in New Zealand with her family for three years, Magdalena found her way to Nordwand Group, where she is a valued member of the team. On weekends, she is often on excursions in the Black Forest.
