The ‘Nordwand’ or the ‘North Face’ of a mountain is the most challenging, difficult, adventurous, highly prized, and most highly respected route to the summit. For hundreds of years the challenge of being the first to successfully climb the ‘Nordwand’ of the now most famous peaks in the northern hemisphere (Eiger, Matterhorn, Grandes Jorasses) have delivered us tales of extreme courage, adventure, bravery and eventual glory as the best route to the top has been unlocked.

Nicolas is a founding partner of Nordwand Group and leads our IT, Finance and Executive Search divisions in Geneva. In addition to the general management of the Geneva based business he is in charge of the partnership with our customers based across French-speaking Switzerland. Nicolas has been working in the specialized recruitment industry since 2003.
He has worked in international recruiting firms as well as, more recently, as a Talent Manager within a US multinational. This experience has allowed him to better understand the internal difficulties faced by companies wishing to recruit talent, and thus to understand each mandate entrusted as a new partnership opportunity.
Nicolas is a French national resident in Geneva since 12 years. He is a big fan of sailing and aeronautics so Lake Geneva and the surrounding mountains have become an ideal playground for him.
Fatima is a Resource Consultant for the Nordwand Group and works closely with our experienced Geneva Consulting team across a range of functions in both the IT and Finance sector.
Prior to joining Nordwand, Fatima visited more than 20 countries, being responsible for the promotion of a Business School group. Travelling is for her the best way to bridge the gap between cultures and people and when not on the road, Fatima enjoys good coffee and loves sushi.
After 5 years in IT consulting in Paris, Carole is excited to continue her development in IT and Finance with Nordwand’s Geneva team.
In her previous roles in both internal and external Recruitment, Carole took part in many projects which sought to combine team spirit and innovation to drive Human Capital initiatives. Passionate about her work, she believes familiarity and passion are one of success’s main drivers. She is eager to take on new challenges, especially if they allow her to continue learning.
As a chocolate enthusiast, Carole is striving to further this expertise in Switzerland, the natural home of chocolate. She is always eager to make new connections and is always up for an exchange over coffee.
Danny is a founding partner of the Nordwand Group AG and leads our Finance & Accounting practice. He also personally handles our Executive Search mandates across a broad range of functions and is responsible for the general management of the business.
Danny has over 20 years professional experience. He started his career in London where he held various Sales & Marketing Management roles before moving to Switzerland in 2001. Since then he has led and contributed to the profitable growth of several stock-exchange listed international recruitment and professional services firms.
Danny is a British and Swiss national and a graduate in European Business Studies from the Nottingham Trent University and has a post graduate diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He loves the mountains, both in summer and winter, and is a long-suffering West Ham United fan.
Martin is a founding partner of the Nordwand Group and leads our IT team. He personally serves a number of our key clients also for a range of Executive search mandates in both IT and Sales & Marketing functions. He is also responsible for the general management of the company.
He has worked in specialised recruitment since 2001 and has successfully built teams in Switzerland, Germany and Austria. Alongside his team management responsibilities in success based recruitment, Martin was also actively involved in the development of a range of client specific recruitment solutions. Martin is a federally certified Sales Manager and has a professional certificate in Social Media Management, a theme which is ever more important in the recruitment industry.
In his free time Martin is a passionate football fan and loves sharing his statistical knowledge with anybody brave enough to listen.
Martin is a Senior Manager with the Nordwand Group. He joined us shortly after we formed the company and primarily serves customers with recruitment needs in the area of Information Technology.
Martin previously worked in Human Resources at Credit Suisse and managed an on-site team of IT recruitment specialists. Prior to that he worked for several years as a consultant and Team Leader for Permanent Placement at one of the largest European IT staffing companies.
Thanks to his many years of experience, he supports and advises successful corporations and SMEs across a range of recruitment matters. His broad experience and deep knowledge allow him to coach candidates through the entire application process as well as expertly supporting clients active in the recruitment of qualified specialists and executives.
Outside of the office Martin has trekked in Tibet and Nepal, but is more likely to be found these days with his family hiking the Uetliberg or the Pfannenstiel.
Kimon in his role as Manager acts as the link between our customers and the technical candidates he identifies.
He brings together different areas of interest and was previously, with an international recruiter, in two different positions in the IT environment. As a Research Consultant, he was responsible for the recruitment and candidate care (Interviewing, assessments). As a development of that role he took over, as Senior Recruitment Consultant, additionally the responsibility for customer management, where he is today and can call himself a Manager.
In his spare time, Kimon Abderhalden is always looking for good restaurants and unwinds with a healthy mix of sports and a glass of red wine.
Pascal is responsible for the further development of our Finance & Accounting practice.
He began his career with a renowned Private Bank in Zurich before moving to an international Fund Management company where he spent 12 years building and developing the Swiss market.
Pascal has been in the specialised Recruitment industry since 2007 and focusses on filling vacancies for specialists and managers in the Finance & Accounting discipline.
In his spare time he is an avid record collector with an affinity for jazz.
Wes has over 13 years of recruiting expertise across the Information Technology and Financial Services sectors, 10 of which have been serving the Swiss market.
For many years his focus has been on Client Development and Account Management of some of the most reputable larger companies in Switzerland as well as supporting SME’s, including start-ups, to grow their businesses.
Clients will always want to identify and attract top performers for their businesses and Wes is able to think beyond a standard search & selection approach and solve his customers problems. He continues to take advantage of his extensive network of both Business and IT professionals and stays regularly informed about industry developments and trends.
At weekends Wes likes to head to the mountains where he enjoys all types of sports and adventures. If you know him, its ‘go big or go home’!
Paul is a Recruitment Consultant and supports the IT applicants through their job process and the Recruitment Consultants through their search for the right candidates.
He is always on the lookout for specialists from various IT areas and accompanies the candidates with empathy through the entire recruitment process and beyond.
Paul made the switch to recruitment after 5 highly successful years in the finance / insurance sector as a result of his belief that without risk there is no reward.
Paul grew up in Rostock on the Baltic Sea and has loved the ocean since he was young. He has now been living in Switzerland for about 7 years and sees it as his second home, despite the many mountains which block his view of the ocean.
Josh is our Resource Consultant and supports the Finance team with sourcing and research.
With us he is gaining useful experience in a dynamic working environment while earning a Bachelor's degree in International Management from FHNW. Josh was born in Switzerland but grew up in Tampa, Florida, where he studied medicine and international affairs for three years before deciding to re-establish himself in Zurich.
Josh enjoys mountaineering and anything that has to do with Manchester United and the American Football team Seattle Seahawks.
Corinne works as a Resource Consultant supporting in the search and acquisition of candidates in the IT sector. Her focus lies on the optimal coordination of client and candidate needs to ensure a perfect match.
Corinne originally comes from the tourism industry, and holds Bachelor's degree in Tourism from the University of Applied Sciences in Chur. Before joining the Nordwand Group, she worked for various tourism service providers and flew around the world as a flight attendant. She is particularly interested in the diverse facets of different people and is enrolled in a Master's degree in business psychology with a specialisation in aptitude diagnostics and personnel development.
Corinne likes to spend her free time in nature, preferably horseback riding or in the mountains.
Tasha is a Resource Consultant at the Nordwand Group supporting the technical team with meeting highly qualified candidates and guiding them through the recruitment process towards their next professional position.
Tasha grew up in Vienna, speaks fluent ‘Swiss German’, has been in the recruitment industry for five years and has completed her studies in Human Resources. She is now focused on enhancing her IT Industry knowledge so she can provide an optimal service to the market.
In her free time Tasha enjoys watching football – in particular Arsenal FC – her favorite team. She loves the beach, good food and enjoys good music.
Jeanine is our Social Media Expert & Graphic Designer and responsible for the company branding and creative appearance of the Nordwand Group.
She is an open-minded, determined and creative person with lots of energy. In her role she can realize herself and pursue one of her passions. Jeanine continues to get a rare insight into many different industries and functions, which helps her to act professionally. This enables her to complete her bachelor's degree in Sports Management while working part-time.
Jeanine is proud of her Winterthur roots, which brings some healthy rivalry to the office! She is a keen soccer player (as they call it in Canada, where she spent a great year living her dream) and also enjoys snowboarding, running, having time for family and friends and watching ice hockey.
Blinera is our Resource Associate and supports the entire team in recruiting and all kinds of administrative tasks.
She is a motivated, curious and helpful young woman who wants to gain as much experience as possible in our team. Blinera joined the Nordwand Group immediately after completing her apprenticeship as a specialist in public transport.
Despite her young age, she has already travelled to 20 countries, broadening her language skills and knowledge of different cultures and customs. In her free time, Blinera has been passionate about basketball since she was a child, giving free rein to her team spirit. She also enjoys relaxing by making music.
